Weekly Bible Lesson – In Person

Regular Lessons

Each week our students explore a story from the Bible. Students are prayed with and encouraged during the lesson time. Each student who participates in WRE receives a new hard cover Bible. This personal gift equips them to continue their Bible reading on their own.

The Bible is our primary text

What is taught?

SECOND GRADE curriculum is focused on the Old Testament historical accounts in Genesis and Exodus. In addition to these Old Testament events, the New Testament Christmas and Easter stories are incorporated into the school calendar.

THIRD GRADE curriculum continues the study of the Old Testament narrative and proceeds
through the birth of Jesus and the His early earthly ministry.

FOURTH GRADE curriculum offers a significantly deeper exploration of the life and teachings of Jesus. Emphasis is given to the last week of Jesus’ life on earth as students are engaged in a ten week study of the events of Holy Week.

Why attend?

Each week our students explore a story from the Bible. Students are prayed with and encouraged during their release time experience. Some have shared, this is their “safe” place and their WRE class day is their favorite day of the week. Each student who attends WRE receives a new hard cover Bible. This personal gift equips them to continue their Bible reading at home.

In addition, students are involved in a music program. They learn songs and present them at a concert in the spring. This large event is a highlight for our students, their families and the community.
